This article discusses a research study conducted by Michigan State University, the University of Melbourne, and Monash University, which provides insights into strategic decisions made during recessions and their impact on business performance, particularly in the manufacturing sector. The study analyzed data from 514 manufacturers across 21 industries in 14 countries during the 2008-2012 financial crisis and compared decisions related to manufacturing strategy alignment and process integration.
